After about four inches of wet snow landed in our area yesterday, snowmen have been cropping up all over the neighborhood. In fact, we counted exactly 29 Frosties, and one Baby Frosty on our way home from the store today. This afternoon, Julia was finally able to build her own snowy friend, something she’s been wanting to do since watching Frosty the Snowman over Christmas.

Even Ginger helped out. I love this look on Julia. I think she expected Frosty to start talking after watching “Frosty the Snowman.”
We had to wait for the “perfect storm” in more ways than one. Yes, the weather cooperated, but we also needed Mr. Grant to cooperate by taking his nap while Julia was awake. I can figure out how to do lots of things with a seven month old, but building a snowman isn’t one of them. He would have to miss out on this one.
Julia and I were ready to play outside in record time. Even Ginger came out and was a fun doggy companion, although she kept barking and trying to bite Frosty as we rolled him up.
Unfortunately, as soon as we started on the snowman’s torso, I heard Grant start to wake up. We finished Frosty in record time, snapped a few photos, and zipped inside to bundle up Grant for some more wintertime fun. He was a grumpy boy after his fifteen minute nap, but he still liked being outside, as long as I held him. He likes pretty much anything as long as he’s being held!
In the backyard Julia enjoyed eating some (white) snow, and she even made her first snow angel! She was scared of the snow last year, so it was fun to see her enjoying herself and having this new experience. I can’t wait until next year when Grant will be old enough to enjoy building a snowman with his sister.
Now come on, Spring! I have a garden to plant!

I am glad you were able to enjoy this perfect day.
Love the pictures!!
Thanks!
Cuties!
