Thank you everybody for the kind words you posted on my last blog entry. It was so affirming to know that people are reading and liking what I write, and you had such nice things to say! Thanks to everybody for reading and supporting me.
December has been a whirlwind of a month, but I didn’t realize how much we had done until I started uploading all of our (675) photos from our camera onto the computer! Now I’m starting to see why I have been so overwhelmed lately!
At the beginning of the month, Grant was baptized.

Here are the four cousins after his baptism.

I made the invitations, and Mom had a cake made to match them! It tasted as good as it looks.
We had a wonderful Farmgirl Christmas party, but I can’t find the photos I took.
I hosted a cookie decorating party for our playgroup.

This was so much fun! The moms decorated most of the cookies while the kids did most of the eating!
Grant played hide and seek.

Can you find Mr. Grant?
We took the kids to Chicago to see the Christkindlmarket market.

Julia loved looking at the Nativity.
Then we went to see Santa, but we didn’t take any photos. Don’t worry, we bought two photos for 20 bucks.
We hosted a family cookie baking party/cookie exchange.

While the cookies were baking, Jarryd and Dad helped Julia make a gingerbread house. I like how you can see sleeping Grant in this photo too.
Grant tried sweet potatoes. He loves them almost as much as he loves his sister.

Something sure was funny.
I made some jewelry.

This is my latest stress-reliever. I am planning to post some tutorials on my blog and maybe even sell a few pieces on Etsy!
We looked at Christmas lights.

This house was magical.
This morning we went to my parents’ house and then to Starved Rock to enjoy a wonderful Sunday brunch. We are looking forward to going back to my parents’ house to see everyone tomorrow. Then for Christmas Day, we are off to George’s family for more merriment.
Never before have I felt so blessed and exhausted at the same time! I’m so thankful for all of our friends and family. I hope everyone has a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!
