I got a little artsy last night and tried to figure out how to produce a Bokeh effect with our Christmas tree lights. Since I’m a novice photographer, I won’t try to get into the technical details of what I did, but if you want more information about Bokeh, please look here, here, here and here.
I’m not sure if I’ve achieved a “true” Bokeh, but it was fun to play with the camera off of automatic mode.
Please enjoy! Oh, and if you enjoy reading my blog, please make my day and subscribe!
This is of our Christmas tree. I don’t know why there are black flecks in the lights.
For this one, I stood about fifteen feet away so I could get the entire tree. This one might be my favorite.
Ginger made a great doggy model.
There’s a little heart! I don’t know how I did it, but there it is.
Here is the same tree from the same distance. I just changed the focus.
I was able to get a good one of Julia this morning.
I’m looking forward to trying this technique more this season. Thanks for reading!
