We all remember school lunches of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and snacks of peanut butter with apples and celery. Sometimes there’s nothing more comforting to me than a good PB&J. Many store bought peanut butters are packed with sugar and other ingredients we just don’t need in our bodies. Here’s a basic and quick recipe for peanut butter using only four or five ingredients. For a more exotic twist add hazelnuts. I never thought I would describe peanut butter as “exotic,” but I guess I just did.
Ingredients:
- approximately 1 and 2/3 cups peanuts or a mixture of raw nuts
- approximately 3 Tbs honey
- approximately 4 Tbs peanut oil
- approximately 1 tsp salt
Since this is YOUR peanut butter, vary the ingredients as much as you want until you reach your preferred taste and consistency.
Here is what you do…
